Effective date: October 2, 2026. Apps: Vega (SquawkBot) and Captain Multi Chat.
These are desktop programs that run on your computer. They connect streaming accounts so live chat can appear in the app and in OBS. This policy explains what Google account data they access.
You run the apps on your PC. Google and YouTube tokens stay on that computer. We do not run a cloud account that receives your live chat.
When you connect YouTube, the app may access:
The sign-in requests openid, userinfo.email, userinfo.profile, youtube.readonly, and youtube.force-ssl. The apps do not read your private videos, playlists, or Google Drive. We do not sell Google or YouTube data. We do not use it for advertising.
Tokens stay on your PC until you log out in the app or delete the app data folder. Vega stores them in the .squawkbot folder in your user profile. Captain Multi Chat stores them in an encrypted vault in your user profile.
These apps are for streamers and are not directed at children under 13.
